Welcome to the Southern North West Training Partnership

We are an ecumenical partnership that prepares women and men for a variety of ministries, ordained and lay, across four denominations: Church of England, Methodist, Baptist and United Reformed Church. Together these churches formed the Southern North West Training Partnership (SNWTP) as a response to the vision of doing more training for ministry together.

We offer a range of non-residential (part-time) training pathways and courses designed to teach and assess the range of topics and characteristics that each of the partner churches require of their ordained and licensed lay ministers.

Those training for Anglican Reader ministry usually take the two-year Reader training course. For an outline of this course, please click here

The pathways for those training for ordained and other ministries vary according to ministerial experience, previous theological training and denominational requirements. For an overview of all training options, including an outline of the Foundation Degree, Learning for Mission and Ministry, please click here
